I am a 23 year old female grad student at George Mason University. I moved here in January and have been living in a family's basement, but am now looking to move to my own place. I'm very responsible, pretty clean (although I will not bug about it unless it gets bad), flexible with most things and quite independent. I want to live with someone who is about the same. I'm really busy with my work so I prefer a very relaxed apartment, so no drama, no stress, just 2 people who are adult enough to live together and take care of their own stuff. I'm a non-smoker and would prefer someone else who doesn't smoke as well. I have no pets or kids, although I love animals and so pets are great if you have them! I'm looking to move sometime in May, but I can be flexible with that. I am finishing my first semester of a two year program, so I am looking to sign at least a year lease. The only real requirement that I need in the apartment is the kitchen. I am Jewish and religious so I have to have a kosher kitchen. I would be willing to talk it over with a vegetarian, but I would not be comfortable living with someone who would bring unkosher meat (meat thats not certified kosher – specific brands) into the kitchen or mix milk and meat (no cheeseburgers!). My preference is to live in Margate Manor (near Pickett road and Main Street). I have put in a few inquiries there so I hope to find a 2 bedroom apartment there. It's close to a Shoppers and Trader Joes, as well as within walking distance to the CUE bus Green 1/2. I would also be willing to look into other places nearby.
